Queenstown once boasted a bustling commercial sector, including a hotel, five grain elevators, several stores, a school, and numerous private residences. Eclipsed by the nearby centre of Milo during the ‘20s and ‘30s, Queenstown slowly withered to its current size. After leaving Milo, Greg and I ventured north towards Queenstown, a former shipping point along the C.P.R.’s abandoned Lomond Subdivision. Already two hours behind schedule, we made a bee-line for the Drumheller valley, pausing at a small community graveyard along the way.
